Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated Plant Operator to join our team. This role involves managing daily plant operations, ensuring the health and maintenance of our plants, and providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, capable of handling various tasks related to plant care, and committed to maintaining a welcoming environment for customers. Responsibilities Operate and monitor plant-related equipment and systems to ensure optimal functioning. Water and care for a variety of plants, including flowers and potted plants, maintaining their health and appearance. Assist customers with plant selections, providing knowledgeable advice on plant care and maintenance. Manage cashier duties related to plant sales, including processing transactions accurately. Support the potting of new plants and repotting existing plants as needed. Maintain cleanliness and organization within the plant area to ensure a safe and attractive environment. Respond to customer inquiries promptly and professionally, offering excellent customer service. Perform routine inspections of plants to identify any signs of pests or disease and report issues accordingly. Requirements Previous experience in plant care, gardening, or related roles is preferred but not Required. Strong customer service skills with the ability to assist customers effectively. Basic cash handling skills and familiarity with point-of-sale systems are advantageous. Ability to handle physical tasks such as watering, potting, and moving plants safely. Attention to detail and a passion for horticulture or plant maintenance. Good communication skills and a friendly demeanor. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
