The Seal Table Technician supports nuclear power plant refueling and maintenance outages by performing precision assembly, disassembly, inspection, cleaning, and testing of mechanical seals and associated components. Key Responsibilities

+ Assemble, disassemble, inspect, clean, and refurbish mechanical seals and seal components.

+ Perform seal table operations in accordance with nuclear procedures, engineering specifications, and quality standards.

+ Measure critical dimensions using precision measuring instruments, including micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and torque equipment.

+ Inspect components for wear, corrosion, damage, and dimensional tolerances.

+ Complete required quality assurance documentation, work packages, and inspection records.

+ Maintain Foreign Material Exclusion (FME) controls and contamination prevention practices.

+ Work in radiologically controlled areas while following ALARA principles and radiation protection requirements.

+ Perform equipment setup, maintenance, and housekeeping of the seal table work area.

+ Communicate effectively with supervisors, engineers, quality control personnel, and outage team members.

+ Follow all nuclear safety, industrial safety, and environmental procedures.

+ Support extended work schedules, including overtime, nights, weekends, and travel during outage seasons. Required Qualifications

+ High school diploma or GED.

+ Ability to read and interpret technical procedures, drawings, and specifications.

+ Experience using precision measuring tools and mechanical hand tools.

+ Ability to obtain and maintain unescorted nuclear plant access.

+ Ability to pass background checks, fitness-for-duty testing, and radiological training.

+ Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in confined spaces or extended standing positions. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
