Core Responsibilities Continuously observes Distributed Control Systems (DCS), gauges, charts, and monitors to track voltage, electricity flows, temperature, and pressure. Remotely starts, stops, or adjusts generators, turbines, boilers, and cooling systems based on system demands. Troubleshoots operational anomalies, diagnoses the cause of alarms, and takes immediate corrective action. Directs the work of field operators and maintenance technicians on-site and communicates with power distributors and grid dispatchers. Qualifications & Requirements Requires a High School diploma or GED Strong foundation in math and science, high technical aptitude, and the ability to remain calm and make critical decisions during emergencies. Target Individual 2+ years of control room operations experience within a natural gas combined cycle or simple cycle plant. We're also open to folks who have other power plant experience but at least understand the steam cycle. #ENG1
