Renewable Fuel Plant Operator (Micro-GTL Operations)

On-site at our Wisconsin dairy farm partner facility (New Franken area) Immediate start available AGRA Energy converts dairy manure biogas into renewable liquid fuels using our proprietary Micro-GTL (gas-to-liquids) technology. We are looking for a hands-on Plant Operator who can safely and reliably run day-to-day operations of a compact chemical process plant co-located on a working dairy farm. Looking to fill several positions, including both entry level and experienced operators. High School graduates with good mechanical aptitude are welcome to apply. Key Responsibilities Monitor and operate the full process train, including biogas handling, compression, syngas generation, catalytic conversion reactors, product separation/stabilization, and utilities. Operate and troubleshoot pumps (including AOD and centrifugal), motors, valves, hydraulics, heat exchangers, tanks, and associated equipment. Use plant control systems (primarily Allen-Bradley / Rockwell Automation PLCs and HMIs) to monitor temperatures, pressures, flows, levels, and product quality parameters; make real-time adjustments to maintain stable, efficient operation. Perform routine operator rounds, record process data, take samples, and maintain accurate shift logs. Conduct basic preventive and corrective maintenance, lubrication, filter changes, and minor repairs; support larger maintenance activities and contractor work. Follow strict safety procedures including LOTO, confined space, hot work, chemical handling (including caustics and process chemicals), PPE requirements, and HazCom/SDS protocols. Respond to alarms, process upsets, and equipment issues promptly and safely; escalate as needed. Maintain plant cleanliness, housekeeping, and environmental compliance in a farm setting. Work collaboratively with the operations/maintenance team and farm partners. Required Qualifications & Skills Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and reliable operations. Ability to work on-site at a Wisconsin dairy farm location (outdoor/indoor process equipment, variable weather, farm environment). Willingness to work rotating shifts, weekends, and respond to callouts as scheduled. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Preferred Experience Prior work in chemical processing, biofuels, biogas/RNG, refining, power generation, or similar continuous process plants. Experience with hazardous chemical handling, process sampling, and basic instrumentation. Familiarity with anaerobic digesters or agricultural biogas systems. Hands-on experience with industrial pumps, motors, hydraulics, valves, and electrical control systems. Proficiency operating and monitoring plant control systems (Allen-Bradley / Rockwell Automation strongly preferred). Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to diagnose basic process and equipment problems.
