The Village of Shorewood is hiring an Equipment Operator to support critical public works operations. This full-time role with the Department of Public Works offers hands-on equipment work, varied day-to-day tasks, and the opportunity to serve the community directly. What You'll Do Operate automotive and mechanical equipment, including but not limited to trucks, loaders, backhoes, street sweepers, leaf suckers, air compressors, and more. Work with street, forestry, collections, sewer, water, or electrical crews primarily as an equipment operator. Wash, service, and make minor equipment repairs. Perform snow and ice control duties, including plowing and salting streets. What We're Looking For High School Diploma or GED and two years of diversified Public Works laboring experience. Knowledge of sound principles and practices I the operation of automotive and Public Works equipment. Possession of a valid Wisconsin Commercial Drivers' License (CDL) with experience operating motorized equipment. Benefits Available To You This is a non-exempt position with an hourly pay range of $25.44 - $35.17. The Village is looking to hire within the range of $25.44 - $31.50.
