We are seeking an Additive Manufacturing Lab Technician to operate and help manage our 3D-printing lab. This person will be responsible for producing high-quality parts, maintaining an organized and efficient laboratory, supporting customer and research projects, and continuously improving our equipment and processes. What You'll Do Operate and become proficient with SLA, SLS, and FDM additive-manufacturing technologies. Manage printing workflows from file preparation and machine setup through printing, cleaning, post-processing, assembly, inspection, and shipment. Schedule and prioritize print jobs to meet customer deadlines and maintain efficient equipment utilization. Inspect completed parts and verify that they meet dimensional, cosmetic, and functional requirements. Receive training in quality-control procedures and precision inspection tools, including CMM equipment, calipers, dimensional measurement, and 3D scanning. Document inspection results, production information, equipment maintenance, and process settings. Maintain printers and laboratory equipment, perform routine preventive maintenance, and troubleshoot mechanical and process-related problems. Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized laboratory, including materials, tools, supplies, and finished inventory. Work with engineers and customers to prepare models, drawings, and prototypes using SolidWorks. Assist with prototype assembly, mechanical testing, research projects, and customer product development. Evaluate new machines, materials, software, and manufacturing methods to expand and improve the lab's capabilities. Help establish repeatable procedures and quality standards as the additive-manufacturing operation continues to grow. What You Need Hands-on experience with FDM 3D printing and slicer software. A strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to assemble, disassemble, troubleshoot, repair, and improve equipment. Experience with SLA or SLS printing is preferred but not required. SolidWorks experience, including the ability to create or modify parts, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings, is preferred. SolidWorks certifications and GD&T experience are a plus. Experience with quality inspection, calipers, micrometers, CMM equipment, or 3D scanning is a plus; training will be provided. Strong organizational skills and careful attention to detail.
