Job Description
This is a continuous filing exam. Next filing cut-offs are at 5:00 pm on: 8/26/2026, 9/16/2026, 10/7/2026, 10/28/2026, 11/18/2026 (final) The current vacancy is for a Senior Printing Services Operator (Confidential), with a monthly salary range of $4,802.42 - $5,837 .67. Positions in this series operate a variety of printing, reproduction and related equipment to provide reproduced documents to County departments and special districts. Senior Printing Services Operator is the lead level in the series. Incumbents distribute and balance the workload among employees; check on status and progress of work, and review completion of work to see that the supervisor's instructions have been met. Incumbents perform a variety of difficult and complex reproduction assignments. Knowledge of Principles of effective leadworker techniques and training Various types of reproduction equipment and processes including offset printing, digital copying, imaging photocopy, composing and bindery functions; papers, films, inks, chemical and other materials used in reproduction work Scheduling of work flow processes Printing design, composing, layout and publication production techniques Safety and hazardous materials handling requirements Personal computers and network concepts relating to digital copy system Ability to Make major adjustments and minor repairs to reprographic equipment and other office machines Perform multiple-tasks and prioritize assigned work to improve production time Communicate clearly in English both orally and in writing Train employees engaged in the operation of reprographic equipment Prepare reports of work performed Keep accurate records Manage the flow of large volumes of work. Work well with customers Move boxes of paper and other supplies Minimum Qualifications Either 1. One year experience as a Printing Services Operator (Level II) in Sacramento County service. Or 2 . Three years total experience including two years in offset printing processes and one year computer document reproduction.
