Job Description

Job Description We are looking for a dependable and motivated Prepress Technician to help prepare customer artwork for production. This position involves reviewing customer files, correcting minor issues, creating proofs, setting up job tickets, imposing artwork, and preparing files for our printing presses. Because this is a second-shift position, the right person must be a self-starter who can stay productive, solve problems, and make decisions without constant supervision . You must also communicate well and work effectively with our customer service and production teams. Responsibilities Review customer artwork to make sure files are print-ready Identify and correct minor issues involving bleeds, color, resolution, fonts, sizing, and layout Create and review customer proofs Set up job tickets and prepare artwork for production Impose jobs and plan press runs efficiently to reduce waste, time, and production costs Communicate with customer service and production staff regarding file concerns Use Adobe Creative Suite and print workflow software Manage multiple jobs while meeting production deadlines Maintain accuracy and quality in a fast-paced environment Stay organized and keep production moving throughout the shift Work independently while also contributing as part of the overall team Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Knowledge of commercial printing and prepress processes Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, especially Adobe Acrobat, Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop Understanding of imposition, bleeds, color, resolution, fonts, and print-ready file requirements Experience with print workflow or imposition software is preferred Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Ability to manage priorities and remain productive without constant supervision Dependable, organized, and comfortable taking initiative Able to communicate clearly and work well with customer service and production teams Willing to work additional hours when production needs require it At least one year of prepress experience is preferred
Pre-Employment Requirements:
Employment is contingent upon successfully passing a background check and pre-employment drug screening.
Hours and Schedule:
Approximately 35-42 hours per week Sunday through Thursday Eight-hour evening or night shifts Shift will be either 2:00 p.m.-10:00 p.m. or 3:00 p.m.-11:00 p.m. Second-shift availability is required Occasional additional hours may be required based on production needs This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys prepress, problem-solving, and working in a hands-on printing environment. We are looking for someone who can take ownership of their work, maintain high quality standards, keep production moving, and become a reliable part of our team.
Pay:
From $18.00 per hour
