Prepress Technician - 1st Shift (Temp-to-Hire) A dynamic company in the south Chicago suburbs is seeking an experienced Prepress Technician to join its team on 1st shift. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity for candidates with a strong background in offset printing.

Temp-to-Hire Responsibilities Utilize Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop) to prepare print-ready files. Create layouts and send proofs to clients for approval. Produce printing plates using Computer-to-Plate (CTP) technology. Perform trapping and work with Harlequin RIPs. Verify color accuracy and inspect electronic files before production. Prepare files for offset and screen printing. Work with variable data printing projects as needed. Operate and navigate Mac computer systems. Modify and manipulate artwork to meet production specifications. Monitor print runs and make adjustments to ensure quality output. Qualifications Experience in prepress operations for offset printing. Proficiency with Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop. Knowledge of CTP plate making, trapping, and Harlequin RIPs. Experience with color management and print file preparation. Familiarity with offset and screen printing processes. Variable data printing experience is a plus.
