Job Description:

We're seeking a detail-oriented Prepress Technician to join our team. In this role, you'll serve as the critical link between customer artwork and production-ready output — ensuring every design is properly digitized, separated, color-matched, and set up correctly before it reaches the production floor.

Key Responsibilities:

Review incoming customer artwork for quality, resolution, and production feasibility; flag issues and communicate with sales/customer service as needed Convert and prepare files using Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and outside vendors Maintain an organized digital art library and job folder system Match Pantone/thread/ink colors accurately to customer specifications and brand standards Communicate with production manager to confirm garment type, placement, and sizing requirements Track job status through prepress software/order management system Maintain and calibrate prepress equipment (RIP software, digitizing software, film/screen output devices) Meet daily production deadlines while maintaining accuracy and quality standards

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous prepress, graphic design, or digitizing experience in apparel decoration Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop Experience with Wilcom embroidery digitizing, including stitch/color programming and sew-out corrections Experience with screen printing prepress, including color separations, halftones, trapping, and film output Experience with DTF printing, including file prep, nesting, RIP software, and print/cure workflows Experience with Fiery RIP software Strong understanding of Pantone matching and thread/ink color systems Familiarity with DecoNetwork, ShopWorks, or similar order management/production software Knowledge of garment types/fabrics and how they affect stitch or print settings Bi-Lingual (English/Spanish)

Physical Requirements:

Ability to sit/stand at a computer workstation for extended periods Occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs (film rolls, sample garments, supplies) Comfortable working in a production shop environment with equipment noise

Pay:

$17.00 - $22.00 per hour
