This position supports the creation of high-quality video content for live Cable News Broadcasts. The ideal candidate is efficient, creative, detail-oriented, and comfortable working under daily news deadlines and has flexible availability that includes early weekend mornings, weekday evenings, and holidays. This position requires membership in IBEW Local 1212 and must report to 220 E. 42nd St, New York, NY. Responsibilities The successful candidate will be able to listen to director's commands and react swiftly and accurately for correctly positioning and framing shots including the X/Y axis and balancing the camera This position requires a physical component and must be able to carry / wear the weight of 50lbs combined Must be able to make smooth on-air moves. Must be proficient with operation of broadcast equipment within assigned area, including set up programming and troubleshooting the Steadicam system and maintenance of vests and related equipment. May be asked to train others or create training documentation. Be able to communicate and document effectively and concisely to the rest of the team. Must be self-sufficient and have a press-on-regardless attitude. All day parts (mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays) may be a part of the schedule with overtime as situations demand. Qualifications Five plus (5+) years' editing experience in a fast-paced live television environment required. Must be proficient in Steadi-Cam systems. Ability to carry / wear up to 50lbs for extended period of time Must work well in a collaborative team environment and be able to multitask; a problem solver and quick thinker who can resolve existing issues and find workarounds. Must be self-sufficient and have a "press-on-regardless" attitude. Bachelor's degree in Communications or a related field preferred.

$95
  • 105 / hour
