Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic media production team as a Camera Operator for the upcoming sports seasons! We have openings to cover the following locations: Beaver Eastern; Vinton County; Athens and Portsmouth! The Camera Operator is responsible for capturing high-quality video coverage of high school sporting events for live broadcasts, livestreams, game recaps, and promotional content. This role requires attention to detail, knowledge of sports action, and the ability to follow production direction in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate video cameras during live sports broadcasts and recordings. Follow the managers instructions to capture game action, coaches, players, and crowd reactions. Maintain smooth camera movement, accurate framing, and focus throughout events. Set up, test, and break down camera equipment before and after games. Monitor audio and video quality to ensure broadcast standards are met. Capture pregame, halftime, and postgame content as assigned. Work collaboratively with the production crew to deliver a professional broadcast. Observe safety procedures while working around athletic venues.
Qualifications:
Interest in sports broadcasting, video production, or media. Ability to operate cameras and related equipment (training provided). Strong communication and teamwork skills.
