Job Description

Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Label Designer/Technical Support specialist to join our team. This role involves designing labels and providing comprehensive technical support to ensure seamless operations to manufacturing. The ideal candidate will possess strong computer skills, experience with multiple operating systems, and excellent customer service abilities. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where creativity and technical expertise are highly valued. Responsibilities Create databases using Microsoft Office, with complex formulas to achieve customer requirements. Operate and maintain commercial Epson Ink Jet Printers and commercial Ricoh Laser Jet Printers; includes set-up, adjustments, removal of jammed materials, changing toner/ink cartridges, and position guides. Review work orders, samples or other specification to determine work requirements and assure that all materials are readily available for production execution. Collaborate with the Customer Service team to achieve customer requirements. Continuously inspect output for flaws or other defects. Develop and construct samples of custom products according to customer specifications, as well as samples of stock products using CAD software and a plotter. Responsible for operating a Heidelberg Press to place scores on paper for label printing. Perform routine preventive maintenance on printers/plotter as required. Responsible for completing work reports timely and accurately. Experience High School Diploma; Associate degree in Computer Science or Graphic Arts, or equivalent in work experience. Requires advanced database or spreadsheet experience to include the creation of complex formulas. Experience in Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD, Labeling Software is preferred. Familiarity with graphic design tools for label creation is preferred. Experience troubleshooting software issues related to label design applications and general desktop environments. Excellent communication skills to effectively assist end-users and collaborate with team members. Possess good math skills and ability to make accurate measurements using rulers.
