Hourly / Day Rate (Tiered based on gear, experience, and ability to shoot unsupervised) About Nedds Media Nedds Media is an exclusive sports media and cinema brand in Charleston, SC. We specialize in 4K high-contrast sports coverage, hype reels, docu-series, and commercial event media. We dont shoot generic, static footage we focus on dynamic handheld movement, cinematic lighting, high-energy framing, and capturing raw athletic energy. As our project volume scales, we are looking for a reliable, motivated Camera Operator / Second Shooter to join the crew for Friday night football games, weekend athletic events, and commercial shoots. Who We re Looking For (2 Operating Tiers) We are accepting applications for two different levels of experience: Tier 1: Experienced Freelance Operator (Higher Pay Rate)

Gear Requirement:

Must own a Sony cinema or hybrid camera setup (Sony a7 IV, FX3, FX6, or better) with fast glass and a complete field rig.

Experience:

Proven track record in fast-action sports or event coverage.

Capability:

Able to take a creative brief, manage audio/lighting on the fly, and execute solo or B-cam assignments completely unsupervised. Tier 2: Junior Shooter / Paid Apprentice (Development Rate)

Gear Requirement:

None required for the shoot you will operate our secondary Nedds Media Sony a7 IV rig.

Experience:

Must already know the core fundamentals of videography (shutter speed rule, manual focus tracking, ISO/aperture management, and S-Log3 exposure).

Capability:

You will start by job-shadowing on 2-3 projects to learn the Nedds Media shooting style and workflow. Once proven, youll be assigned solo or B-cam assignments from our creative briefs.

Non-Negotiable Requirements Sony Ecosystem Knowledge:

Familiarity with Sony picture profiles (S-Log3) and Sony menu layouts.

Reliable Transportation:

You must have your own dependable vehicle to transport yourself and gear to game locations across the Charleston area. Friday Night /

Weekend Availability:

High school football season and race/event coverage happen primarily on Friday evenings and weekend mornings/afternoons.

High Energy & Reliability:

Punctuality is everything in live sports. You need to be on time, composed under pressure, and capable of keeping up with fast-paced game action on the field.
