- Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Printer Technician to join our team and ensure the seamless operation of office printing and copying equipment.
As a vital member of our field service team, you will diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of printer, copier, and related office equipment. Your expertise will help keep our clients' workflows running smoothly by providing exceptional technical support and proactive maintenance. This role offers an exciting opportunity to apply your mechanical, electrical, and technical troubleshooting skills in a fast-paced environment dedicated to customer satisfaction. Responsibilities Perform on-site repairs and preventative maintenance on printers, copiers, and other office imaging equipment to ensure optimal performance. Troubleshoot hardware issues using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools, including electro-mechanical components. Diagnose and resolve software problems related to printer drivers, firmware updates, and network connectivity issues involving computer networking. Conduct field service equipment repairs utilizing hand tools and specialized test equipment to restore equipment functionality efficiently. Support hardware diagnostics by analyzing mechanical and electrical failures, then implementing effective repair solutions. Maintain detailed service records, including logs of repairs performed, parts replaced, and troubleshooting steps taken. Provide technical customer support for office equipment by explaining issues clearly and offering solutions that minimize downtime. Qualifications Proven experience as a service technician or in a similar field service role specializing in printer and copier repair. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with electrical experience related to electro-mechanical components found in office equipment. Skilled in hardware diagnostics, equipment troubleshooting, and using schematics for complex repairs. Familiarity with computer hardware, software troubleshooting, and network configurations essential for resolving connectivity issues. Experience with maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) practices for field service equipment maintenance. Ability to use hand tools effectively for mechanical repair tasks in diverse environments. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical clients.
Pay:
Up to $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
