In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating press brake machines to accurately bend and form sheet metal components according to precise specifications. Your expertise in CNC machine operation, mechanical blueprint interpretation, and measurement will ensure the production of high-quality metal parts that meet safety and quality standards. Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC press brake machines, ensuring proper tooling and calibration for each job. Program CNC press brakes using CAD/CAM software or manual input to achieve desired bend angles and dimensions. Interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine correct machine settings and tooling configurations. Measure finished parts using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify dimensional accuracy. Conduct routine maintenance, inspections, and safety checks on machinery to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards. Collaborate with team members on tooling adjustments, machine troubleshooting, and process improvements for increased efficiency. Maintain accurate production logs, quality records, and shift reports while adhering strictly to safety protocols in all operations. Requirements Proven experience operating CNC press brake machines in a manufacturing or metal fabrication environment. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and machining instructions. Proficiency in CNC programming, including manual code editing or utilizing CAD/CAM software tools. Familiarity with other manufacturing equipment such as CNC laser cutting machines, CNC lathes, plasma cutters, stamping presses, and forming machines is a plus. Knowledge of measurement techniques using precision measuring instruments for quality control purposes. Ability to work safely following established safety standards in production environments; experience with safety protocol adherence is essential. Basic shop math skills including measurements, conversions, and calculations related to machining processes. Mechanical aptitude combined with hands-on experience with hand tools, tooling setup, and machine operation. Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality inspection and precision measurement in machining processes.
