PRESS BRAKE OPERATOR

In this role, you will operate and set up press brake machines to bend and shape sheet metal components with accuracy and efficiency. This position also provides the opportunity to be cross trained on other machines.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Set up, operate, and monitor press brake machines to perform precise bending operations on various sheet metal materials. Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders to determine proper tooling, machine settings, and bending sequences. Adjust machine parameters based on material thickness, type, and project specifications to achieve desired angles and dimensions. Conduct quality inspections using measurement instruments such as calipers, to verify part accuracy. Maintain a clean, organized work area while adhering to all safety protocols related to machine operation and metal fabrication. Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot machine issues, perform routine maintenance, and ensure continuous production flow. SKILLS Proficiency in operating press brake machines along with a solid understanding Of CNC programming for automated or semi-automated bending processes. Experience with CNC laser cutting, plasma cutting, welding, forming machines, is a plus but not required. Efficient in using measuring instruments such as calipers. MUST understand basic math skills, fractions, decimals and be able to read a tape measure. Knowledge of safety standards in manufacturing environments including proper use of hand tools, tooling setup, and safety protocol adherence. Ability to operate shop equipment like forklifts when necessary for material handling or loading/unloading raw materials.

Pay:

$20.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: No more than 48.0 per week
