In this vital role, you will operate and set up press brake machines to bend and shape sheet metal with precision and efficiency. Your expertise in metal fabrication and machine operation will contribute directly to producing high-quality components for various industries. Duties Set up, operate, and monitor press brake machines to form metal sheets according to technical specifications and blueprints Interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and shop math to ensure precise fabrication Adjust machine tooling and parameters for optimal performance and quality control Conduct measurements using calipers, micrometers, and other precision instruments to verify part dimensions Perform routine maintenance and safety checks on press brake equipment to ensure smooth operation Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while adhering to safety standards in production Inspect finished parts for quality, ensuring they meet specifications through measurement and visual inspection Skills Proficiency in operating press brake machines along with familiarity with CNC laser cutting, CNC programming, CNC milling machines, CNC lathe, stamping presses, electrical discharge machining, plasma cutting, forming machines, and welding techniques Strong mechanical knowledge including machine setup, tooling selection, and fabrication processes Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and mechanical schematics accurately Experience with measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments for quality inspection Knowledge of shop math, basic math skills, and safety standards in manufacturing environments Skilled in the use of hand tools, measuring instruments, cranes, and sheet metal fabrication techniques Understanding of safety protocol adherence during machine operation and material handling Familiarity with sheet metal fabrication processes including forming, stamping, and assembly tasks Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality and safety Join our team as a Press Brake Operator if you're eager to contribute your machining expertise in a vibrant manufacturing setting!
