Full Job Description Job Summary:

Exact Fabrication is seeking a Press Brake Operator to join our team. The Press Brake Operator is responsible for transforming sheet metal shells, brackets, chassis, and various parts into custom configurations that meet customer specifications. This role encompasses equipment maintenance, adherence to process sheets, and strict compliance with quality and safety standards.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Maintaining tools associated with the forming processes
• Following process sheets and communicating discrepancies to supervision
• Setting-up and breaking down press brake equipment with proper tooling
• Notifying management of any shortages, quality issues or repairs needed on assigned equipment
• Operating pallet jack and forklift equipment
• Reading and understanding prints and drawings
• Reading calipers
• Updating work orders and pallet tags
• Updating skid tags and moving parts to proper areas
• Using and locating different metals and knowing how to scrap parts
• Knowing the quality system, buy-off procedures, AQL, peer review inspections and how to record entries

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Ability to read and comprehend standard instructions, short correspondence, and memos; including safety, instructional and procedural manuals
• Knowledge of methods, materials, and equipment used in the setup and operation of press brake equipment
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
• Ability to present information in one-on-one and group situations with fellow employees and customers
• Ability to make basic mathematical calculations related to daily job functions
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables
• Ability to apply commonsense in understanding and carrying out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or one to two years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Additional Requirements:

• Housekeeping of area

PPE:

Leather shoes; Eye protection when grinding

Pay:

$17.00 - $20.00 per hour
