Job Description

Press Brake Operator Responsibilities Operate punch press brakes, shears, strippit machines, and other fabrication equipment to produce sheet metal products for production. Use hand tools such as drills, taps, and deburring tools to complete and finish sheet metal parts. Inspect materials and finished parts and promptly report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor. Monitor and maintain adequate levels of parts and supplies stored on the shop floor to support continuous production. Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe while following all prescribed safety regulations. Complete tasks according to manufacturing schedules with minimal supervision, meeting production and quality targets. Follow all safety rules and ISO requirements while building units to the highest standard of quality. Package and prepare finished sheet metal parts for shipment or further processing as needed. Load and unload materials and parts in support of the manufacturing process. Accurately record production information in ERP or related systems as required. Essential Skills High school diploma or equivalent. 2-5 years of experience in sheet metal operation or machine operation. Hands-on experience operating press brakes and other sheet metal fabrication machinery. Ability to use hand tools including drills, taps, and deburring tools. Strong sense of urgency and the ability to work efficiently to meet production schedules. Excellent communication skills to coordinate with supervisors and team members. Ability to follow safety rules, ISO requirements, and quality standards in a manufacturing environment. Experience working with sheet metal parts, sheet metal work, and sheet metal assembly. Ability to perform packaging and packing tasks related to manufactured parts. Experience loading materials and operating as a machine operator in a manufacturing setting. Additional Skills & Qualifications CNC knowledge is a plus. Familiarity with ERP systems or other production tracking tools. Experience in a production warehouse environment. Previous experience in metal fabrication and manufacturing operations. Comfort working extended hours, including some overtime, as needed to meet production demands. Why Work Here? Work Environment This role is based in a production warehouse environment without air conditioning, where you will work around sheet metal fabrication equipment and related machinery. The standard schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with some overtime, typically totaling approximately 45-50 hours per week depending on production needs. The environment is fast-paced and hands-on, requiring adherence to safety regulations and ISO requirements while working with metal fabrication tools, sheet metal parts, and packaging materials. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pompano Beach, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
