Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Press Brake Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and setting up press brake machines to accurately bend and form sheet metal components according to technical specifications and blueprints. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, precision measurement skills, and a commitment to safety standards. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to high-quality metal fabrication projects within a dynamic production environment.

1st Mon-Fri 6:00am-2:30pm 2nd Mon-Fri 2:00pm-10:30pm
Pay Rate:
$22.00/hr Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (Other duties may be assigned): Process various types of steel (Cold roll, Galvanized, Galvanneal, Stainless, etc) Recognize copper and steel thickness and gauges Cut copper & sheet steel on a shear (48x96) Operate forming machinery bending copper and steel (Hydraulic Brake Press
  • Trumpf 50/50 and Trumpf 5170s) Operate shearing machinery cutting GPO-03 glastic and steel
  • (Hydraulic Shear
  • Cincinnati Shear) Punch holes in copper and steel (Trumpf 20/20/, Trumpf TP 5000, Boschert CU-PROFI, Stripit 750, Euromac CPX) Wash, dry and prepare steel parts for paint Debur and grind steel parts with hand tools Ability to maintain a positive and professional working relationship with peers, management and support resources, with a constant commitment to teamwork and exemplary customer service Ensure proper protective equipment is worn at all times and tools or other equipment are properly used base on the task Follow control document procedures Regular in-person attendance is an essential function of this job Qualifications Proven experience operating press brake machines in a manufacturing or metal fabrication environment.
Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints accurately. Knowledge of measurement techniques using precision instruments for quality assurance. Basic understanding of shop math necessary for machine setup and calculations. Ability to adhere strictly to safety standards in production environments. Mechanical knowledge of forming machines, welding processes, and sheet metal fabrication techniques. Excellent attention to detail coupled with strong problem-solving skills. Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members across departments. Must be able to read and understand blueprints and drawings Must be able to use shop equipment and hand tools Proficient mechanical skills Convert fraction to decimal equivalents and decimal to fractions Turret Brake Press or Press Brake Experience Perform basic computer skills Must be a team player and have good attendance Must take direction, follow instruction and work with others with a positive attitude Must be able to read, write and converse fluently in English with the level of competency that will permit the applicant to function in the position. Examples of job duties that require a high level of English fluency are: Participate in department huddle; Collaborate with production employees, engineers and project managers, foremen and managers. This role is vital in ensuring the production of high-quality metal components through precise machine operation and adherence to safety standards.
