Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Press Brake Set Up and Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating press brake machines to shape and form sheet metal components with precision and efficiency. Your expertise will ensure that production runs smoothly, safety standards are upheld, and quality specifications are met consistently. Duties Interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and shop math to accurately set up press brake machines for production runs Program CNC (Computer Numerical Control) press brakes to ensure precise bending operations aligned with design specifications Prepare and install tooling, dies, and accessories necessary for each job, ensuring proper fit and function Operate press brake machines safely while maintaining optimal machine performance and adhering to all safety protocols Conduct quality inspections using precision measurement instruments to verify that bent parts meet dimensional tolerances and quality standards Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and adjustments on press brake equipment to maximize uptime and efficiency Collaborate with team members on complex projects involving sheet metal fabrication, forming machines, welding, and assembly processes Requirements Proven experience operating and setting up press brake machines in a manufacturing or metal fabrication environment Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) standards Proficiency in CNC programming for press brakes and familiarity with CNC laser cutting, plasma cutting, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, stamping presses, electrical discharge machining (EDM), and other machining tools is a plus Ability to use measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other precision measurement tools for quality control Knowledge of safety standards in production environments including proper use of hand tools, tooling handling, and safety protocol adherence Basic shop math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and unit conversions necessary for accurate setup and measurement Mechanical aptitude with experience in metal forming processes like forming machines and sheet metal fabrication techniques Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills to troubleshoot machine issues quickly Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing setting Join us if you're passionate about precision machining and metal fabrication!
