United States, Indiana, Fort Wayne 6710 Innovation Blvd. (Show on map) Jul 23, 2026 Job Posting Title Press Operator Job Description Summary Fort Wayne Manufacturing Facility is seeking a skilled and reliable Press Operator to operate and maintain warm form machinery to produce high-quality precision parts according to specifications.
Job Description:
Set up, adjust, and operate forging press machines to produce metal components. Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings to determine machine setup and production requirements. Operating a forklift to load and unload materials into machines Monitor machine operations to detect malfunctions and make necessary adjustments to ensure product quality. Perform routine maintenance on machines, including cleaning, lubrication, and minor repairs. Conduct quality checks on finished products using precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges) to ensure compliance with specifications. Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues with press machinery. Maintain accurate production records and complete required documentation. Adhere to all safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize production processes and meet deadlines. All other duties as assigned Required Skills and Education High School Diploma or GED required. Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot Ability to use precision measuring instruments accurately. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. Ability to lift and move heavy materials and stand for extended periods. Effective communication and teamwork skills. Forklift experience
