Job Description
Press Brake Operator Job Description As a Press Brake Operator, you will play a crucial role in the manufacturing process, utilizing your expertise to shape and form metal components with precision. Your keen attention to detail and mechanical knowledge will ensure that our products meet the highest quality standards. Join our dynamic team and contribute to creating exceptional metal fabrications that drive our success! What you'll do Operate and set up press brake machines to bend, form, and shape metal sheets according to specifications. Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine the correct dimensions and specifications for each project. Conduct quality inspections using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers to ensure accuracy in production. Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues with machinery and implement effective solutions. Utilize hand tools and fabrication techniques for assembly, ensuring that all components fit together seamlessly. Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols at all times. Perform routine maintenance on equipment, including CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines, to ensure optimal performance. Assist in the training of new operators on best practices for machine operation and safety. Basic qualifications Proficient mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in manufacturing environments. Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles. Familiarity with CNC programming, CNC laser cutting, CNC lathe, CNC milling machine, plasma cutting, electrical discharge machining, stamping press, and welding processes. Preferred qualifications Experience operating forklifts and cranes safely within a manufacturing setting. Ability to perform basic math calculations for precise measurements and adjustments. Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication techniques and tooling requirements. Previous experience in quality inspection processes to uphold product standards.
