Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a Weekend Press Brake Operator, where your expertise will drive precision and efficiency in fabricating high-quality sheet metal components. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work during weekend shifts, ensuring production goals are met with accuracy and safety. As a key player in our manufacturing process, you'll operate state-of-the-art press brake machinery, interpret detailed blueprints, and contribute to delivering exceptional products to our clients. Your mechanical aptitude and attention to detail will help us maintain our reputation for excellence and innovation. Duties Set up and operate press brake machines to bend and shape sheet metal according to detailed blueprints and specifications Read and interpret technical drawings, including GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), to ensure precise fabrication Adjust machine tooling and parameters for optimal performance and accuracy during production runs Conduct quality inspections using calipers, micrometers, precision measuring instruments, and visual checks to verify dimensional accuracy Maintain safety standards by performing routine machine checks, ensuring proper guarding, and adhering to safety protocols during operation Collaborate with team members on fabrication tasks involving CNC laser cutting, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, plasma cutting, electrical discharge machining (EDM), stamping presses, welding, and assembly processes Use hand tools and mechanical knowledge for minor machine adjustments or repairs as needed Operate cranes or forklifts for material handling within the fabrication area Maintain accurate documentation of production activities, inspections, and machine maintenance logs Skills Proven experience operating press brake machines in a manufacturing environment Strong understanding of blueprint reading. Familiarity with CNC programming, CNC laser cutting, plasma cutting, EDM, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, stamping presses, welding techniques, and sheet metal fabrication processes Ability to use precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and other quality inspection instruments Mechanical aptitude with basic math skills for setting up machines and interpreting measurements Knowledge of tooling setup and adjustment for various fabrication tasks Experience with hand tools and fabrication equipment for assembly or minor repairs Ability to operate forklifts or cranes safely for material movement within the shop floor Strong attention to detail combined with a commitment to safety standards in a fast-paced environment This position is paid hourly during weekend shifts. We seek motivated individuals eager to contribute their technical skills in a collaborative manufacturing setting.
