The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating press brake machines and a deep understanding of metal fabrication processes. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up and operating press brake equipment to bend and shape metal sheets and plates according to precise specifications. The ability to interpret blueprints, work with various materials, and ensure high-quality production is crucial for success in this position.

Responsibilities:

Set up and operate press brake machines to bend and shape metal sheets and plates according to blueprints, drawings, and specifications. Select appropriate tooling, dies, and punches based on job requirements. Safely load materials onto the press brake, ensuring proper alignment and secure clamping. Adjust machine settings, including stroke length, speed, and back gauge position, to achieve desired bends and angles. Conduct quality checks throughout the production process to ensure accuracy and adherence to specifications. Make adjustments to machine settings and tooling as necessary to achieve precise and consistent results. Collaborate with the production team to prioritize work orders and meet production schedules. Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of press brake equipment to ensure optimal performance. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to machine operation, tooling, and material handling. Maintain accurate production records, including setup sheets, measurements, and inspection reports. Adhere to safety guidelines and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Press Brake Operator, with a minimum of [2] years of experience. Proficiency in setting up and operating various press brake machines, including hydraulic and CNC-controlled models. Ability to interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications. Strong knowledge of metal fabrication techniques and processes. Familiarity with different types of metals and their properties. Excellent mathematical and measurement skills. Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality products. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues. Physical stamina and the ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy materials. Strong work ethic and a team-oriented mindset.
