Summary /Objective Sets up and operates press brake machine and related fabrication equipment to bend, form, and shape metal components according to specifications. Works from blueprints, drawings, and work instructions to produce high-quality parts that meet production and customer requirements. Other fabricating equipment includes shears, saws, rollers, iron worker and CNC Cutting systems. Set up and operate a wide variety of fabricating equipment with high level of skill & expertise. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and routing documents to determine bend sequences, tooling requirements, and dimensional specifications. Achieve production, quality, and safety standards by following standard operating procedures and monitoring machine performance. Perform accurate measurements using calipers, tape measures, protractors, and other precision tools to ensure parts meet specifications. Detect malfunctions, troubleshoot issues, and make necessary machine or program adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency. Notify appropriate personnel of problems beyond the scope of responsibility. Assist in training new operators in press brake setup, operation, and safety procedures. Coordinate with other departments to ensure finished products meet customer expectations and deadlines. Keep accurate time, production, and maintenance records. Assist other operators and departments as needed to meet production and quality goals. Maintain accurate production, inspection, and maintenance records. Cross-train on additional fabrication equipment (shears, saws, lasers, etc.) to support overall operations. Identify opportunities to reduce costs, improve productivity, and optimize setups and processes. Maintain tooling, materials, and inventory in accordance with established procedures. Perform routine and preventative maintenance on equipment. Participate in special projects, process improvements, and reporting as required Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments. Follow all safety regulations, policies, and work instructions. Lift, move, push, or pull materials up to 50 lbs. Stand for extended periods while operating equipment. Work Environment/Physical Demands This job operates in a manufacturing shop environment with constant exposure to noise, moving machinery, and materials. The position requires physical stamina, including prolonged standing, frequent lifting (up to 50 lbs), and repetitive motions. Proper use of PPE is required at all times. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. This position is assigned to either a day or evening shift. Overtime may be required based on production demands. Travel This position requires up minimal travel, if any, between businesses or to training sessions. Equivalent work experience and demonstrated competency may substitute for a degree. Good planning, organization and follow up skills required. Must be able to demonstrate welding competency in carbon, stainless, aluminum and exotic metals.
