In this role, you will be responsible for operating and setting up press brake machines to accurately bend and form sheet metal components according to technical drawings and specifications. Your expertise in CNC machine operation, measurement, and metal fabrication will ensure precision quality in every project. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative manufacturing processes while maintaining the highest safety standards. Duties Set up and operate CNC press brake machines, ensuring proper tooling and machine calibration for each job. Interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications to produce precise metal parts. Program CNC press brakes using specialized software to execute complex bending operations efficiently. Measure finished parts using precision measuring instruments to verify conformance with quality standards. Conduct routine maintenance, inspections, and safety checks on machinery to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety protocols. Collaborate with team members on sheet metal fabrication projects, including forming, welding, and assembly tasks as needed. Maintain detailed records of production runs, measurements, and quality inspections for traceability and continuous improvement. Requirements Proven experience operating CNC press brake machines in a manufacturing or metal fabrication environment. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T standards. Proficiency in CNC programming and familiarity with CNC laser cutting, plasma cutting, CNC milling machines, CNC lathe, stamping presses, and electrical discharge machining is a plus. Skilled in measuring techniques using tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other precision measurement instruments. Knowledge of shop math including basic math skills necessary for machine setup and quality control calculations. Ability to operate hand tools and tooling equipment safely while adhering to safety standards in production environments. Mechanical aptitude combined with a good understanding of forming machines, sheet metal fabrication processes, welding techniques, and assembly procedures. Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality inspection and measurement accuracy. Commitment to safety protocol adherence in all aspects of machine operation and material handling.
