This role requires print reading, setup ability, tooling knowledge, measurement, quality ownership, and safe machine operation. Experience on either CNC press brakes or folding beam/panel bending equipment is valuable, and cross-training on both is encouraged. What You Will Do Set up and operate CNC press brakes and folding beam/panel bending equipment. Read engineering drawings, work orders, bend details, dimensions, and fabrication prints. Select and install appropriate tooling, dies, programs, and machine settings for each job. Verify material type and thickness and plan bend sequence to produce parts safely and accurately. Make approved machine adjustments, offsets, and corrections to hold dimensions and angles. Measure and inspect finished parts using tape measures, calipers, gauges, squares, protractors, and templates as appropriate. Identify quality problems and correct setup or process issues before producing additional nonconforming parts. Perform routine machine care, tooling care, cleaning, and basic troubleshooting. Track production accurately and communicate tooling, material, or machine problems promptly. Work with laser, fabrication, welding, assembly, quality, and engineering to keep parts moving through production. What We Are Looking For Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings. Understanding of metal bending, bend direction, tolerances, and dimensional inspection. Ability to perform setups with limited supervision at the level hired. Comfort using precision measuring tools and making controlled machine corrections. Strong attention to quality, safety, and material handling. Ability to work independently and adjust to high-mix production priorities. Experience That Helps One to three or more years of press brake, folding beam, panel bender, or sheet-metal experience. Experience with multiple machine controls, tooling systems, or materials. CNC programming/setup experience. High-mix, low-volume metal fabrication experience. Experience working with parts produced by laser or punch equipment.
