Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Press Brake Operator to join our metal stamping manufacturing team on 2nd shift: 3:30-midnite Monday - Friday . In this role, you will be responsible for operating press brake machines to bend and form sheet metal components with precision and efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, the ability to interpret technical drawings, and a commitment to maintaining safety standards. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to high-quality metal fabrication projects in a dynamic production environment. Responsibilities Set up and operate press brake machines, ensuring accurate bending according to technical specifications and blueprints Interpret mechanical drawings, technical sketches, and blueprints to determine proper machine setup and tooling Adjust machine parameters and tooling configurations to achieve precise bends and formations Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and safety checks on press brake equipment Measure finished parts using precision measurement instruments to verify conformance with quality standards Collaborate with team members on fabrication tasks involving sheet metal forming, welding, and assembly Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols at all times Troubleshoot machine issues promptly to minimize downtime and ensure continuous production flow Skills Proficiency in operating press brake machines along with familiarity with CNC programming for automation control Strong mechanical knowledge including understanding of forming machines, tooling, and machine operation principles Experience with CNC laser cutting, plasma cutting, CNC milling machines, CNC lathe, and electrical discharge machining is a plus Ability to interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and shop math Skilled in the use of measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring tools for quality inspection Knowledge of safety standards in manufacturing environments and adherence to safety protocol procedures Basic math skills necessary for shop math calculations related to fabrication processes Familiarity with welding techniques, sheet metal fabrication, tooling setup, and assembly processes is advantageous Strong mechanical aptitude combined with excellent problem-solving skills for machining adjustments and troubleshooting This role offers an engaging opportunity for individuals passionate about precision machining and metal fabrication. $18-26 p/h
