1st Shift (6:00 AM to 2:30 PM)
Pay Range:
$18.00/hr
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Press Brake Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating press brake machines, reading blueprints, and using precision measuring instruments to produce high-quality metal components. This position requires strong attention to detail, a commitment to safety, and the ability to meet production goals in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Responsibilities Operate press brake machinery to bend and form metal components according to specifications. Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and work instructions. Set up and adjust the press brake to produce quality parts. Inspect finished parts using calipers, gauges, tape measures, and other precision measuring tools. Verify dimensions and tolerances to ensure products meet quality standards. Perform visual and dimensional inspections throughout the production process. Identify defective materials, equipment issues, or production concerns and report them to the supervisor. Assemble components and sub assemblies as required. Complete production and quality documentation accurately. Perform routine machine maintenance and report equipment malfunctions. Maintain inventory of required materials and supplies. Follow all company safety policies and maintain a clean, organized work area using 5S principles. Collaborate with team members to meet daily production schedules. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. At least 1 year of experience operating a press brake or similar fabrication equipment preferred. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Experience using calipers, gauges, tape measures, and other precision measuring instruments. Ability to read a tape measure to 1/16 inch. Basic math and computer skills. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Frequent bending, kneeling, reaching, and use of hands. Ability to regularly lift up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. Comfortable working around moving machinery in a manufacturing environment. (TB-ADT) #IND1
Pay:
$18.00 - $18.95 per hour
