In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for operating punch presses and related machinery to produce precision metal components. Your expertise in machine operation, mechanical blueprint interpretation, and safety standards will ensure high-quality output and efficient production processes. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about metal fabrication and machining to contribute to a fast-paced, innovative environment. Duties Set up and operate punch presses, stamping presses, forming machines, and other metal fabrication equipment with precision. Interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and shop math to determine tooling setup and production specifications. Perform CNC programming and operate CNC laser cutting, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and plasma cutting equipment to achieve complex component designs. Conduct quality inspections using measuring instruments and measurement techniques to ensure parts meet strict tolerances and quality standards. Maintain safety protocols during machine operation, including proper tooling setup, safety guard installation, and adherence to safety standards in production environments. Troubleshoot machine issues promptly to minimize downtime and optimize manufacturing efficiency. Assist with assembly processes when required, ensuring components are correctly fitted and finished according to specifications. Qualifications Proven experience operating punch presses, stamping presses, or similar forming machinery in a manufacturing setting. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints accurately. Skilled in CNC programming and operation of CNC laser cutters, plasma cutters, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and electrical discharge machining (EDM). Proficient with measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measurement tools for quality control. Knowledge of shop math, basic math skills for machining calculations, and understanding of safety standards in production environments. Ability to operate hand tools and set up tooling on various machines efficiently. Familiarity with sheet metal fabrication processes including forming, welding, and assembly is a plus. Mechanical aptitude combined with strong attention to detail ensures consistent quality output.
