Press Brake Operator Job Description We are seeking a skilled Press Brake Operator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up and operating an Amanda Press Brake machine. Your tasks will involve fabricating sheet metal by following the correct sequencing, identifying the correct gauges and stock from blueprints, and ensuring quality control of finished products. Responsibilities Operate the Amanda Press Brake machine efficiently. Follow correct sequencing for fabricating sheet metal. Identify correct gauges and stock from blueprints. Read angles and send the finished product to Quality Control. Perform changeovers of tools and dies as necessary. Use the controller to change settings based on stock requirements. Identify different gauges of metal accurately. Utilize calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools effectively. Read and interpret blueprints and schematics. Lift up to 75 pounds safely and adhere to safety protocols at all times. Essential Skills Proficient in press brake operation. Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints. Skilled in sheet metal fabrication and sequencing. Experience with calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools. Additional Skills & Qualifications At least 1 year of experience as a press brake setup operator. Experience in machine operation and tool setup. Why Work Here? Work Environment This position is for the second shift from 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM. The work environment is clean and structured to ensure a productive and safe workspace. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Farmingdale, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $25.00/hr.
