Temp-to-Hire Position Overview The Press Brake Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining press brake machines to bend and form metal components. This Press Brake Operator role requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability to follow engineering specifications. The ideal Press Brake Operator is experienced, mechanically inclined, and committed to producing high-quality parts in a fast-paced shop environment. Required Experience & Skills Previous experience operating press brake machines Ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings Experience using calipers, micrometers, and precision measuring tools Strong math skills and understanding of measurements and tolerances Knowledge of metal types, thicknesses, and bending characteristics Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills Reliable attendance and strong work ethic High school diploma or equivalent Essential Duties & Responsibilities Set up and operate press brake equipment Select proper tooling and machine settings for each job Bend sheet metal and plate to required dimensions and specifications Measure and inspect parts to ensure accuracy and quality Perform adjustments, offsets, and minor program edits Maintain a clean and organized work environment Follow all SOPs, OSHA guidelines, and safety procedures Perform routine machine maintenance and report mechanical issues Complete additional duties as assigned Work Environment Machine shop or fabrication environment Exposure to machinery, metal materials, and industrial conditions Physically active role requiring standing, lifting up to 50 lbs, and repetitive motion Job
