We operate in a team environment with the individual teams being responsible for their quality, delivery, and efficiency. Most improvements or problems are worked at the team level. The successful candidate will be part of a small, focused team that produces parts for our different weld lines. Summary We are looking for an experienced Press Brake Operator to join our team. As a Brake Operator at Summit Trailer Manufacturing, Inc., you will be an essential part of our production team, responsible for operating the Brake to form metal components for our trailers. This role is vital in ensuring the precision and quality of our products, contributing directly to our reputation for excellence. Responsibilities Set up and run our 12ft 340 ton CNC Press Brake. Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine job requirements. Perform regular maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers and protractors to verify dimensions of finished products. Collaborate with team members to meet production schedules and quality standards. Troubleshoot any issues with machinery or materials during the production process. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies at all times. Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Qualifications Proven experience as a Press Brake Operator performing your own setups in a production environment using CNC controls. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate various types of machinery. Familiarity with Press Brake operation. Proficient in using precision measuring instruments including calipers and protractors. Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately. Basic programming skills related to machine operation are a plus. Experience operating forklifts beneficial but not required. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. Excellent attendance. High level of personal integrity and produces the highest quality at the highest efficiency. Positive attitude and a drive to learn. A motivated self-starter requiring minimal supervision. Excellent problem solver who understands how things go together. Prefers to work inside a team a team environment. Ability to work overtime on a regular basis.
