Job Description
Overview We are seeking a skilled Press Brake Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating press brake machines to bend and shape metal components according to specifications. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong mechanical knowledge, and the ability to read blueprints. Responsibilities Program CNC press brake, set up, and operate to produce parts according to engineering specifications. Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings Check tolerances of part being bent and make adjustments to machine accordingly Perform routine maintenance on press brake machines to ensure optimal performance. Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and maintain a safe working environment. Utilize basic math skills for measurements and calculations during the production process. Operate additional machinery and assist other team members as needed. Experience The ideal candidate will possess: Proficiency in operating press brake machines with a solid understanding of bending processes. Understanding of tooling selction. Experience with blueprint reading. Ability to read tape measure to 1/32" and use digital calipers. Familiarity with forklift operation is a plus. Basic math skills for accurate measurements and calculations related to metal fabrication. Ability to communicate and work with other team members, as well as work independently. At least 2 years of previous press brake experience required. Must be willing to help with other shop tasks when required.
