Wardwell is a manufacturing facility in Central Falls that is a leading international supplier of braiding machines and parts in the wire and cable industry. Operate and assist Lead Person or Press Operator 2nd Class in setting up power presses, hydraulic presses, drop hammers, both automatic feed and ejection, and manual feed and manual removal. Operate and assist in setting up electronic welder, annealing unit, chopper, slitter and straighteners. Use blueprints, process sheets, specification and instruction sheets. Use progressive, compound, combination, forming, coining, embossing, shaving, drawing, blanking, piercing, punches and dies and die sets. Use micrometers, verniers, dial indicators, plug gauges, and other standard and special measuring and gauging instru-ments and lubricants. Assist in setting up press and adjusting stroke, automatic straightening rolls, alignment of coil feed unit, chopper and the positioning of tote pans for parts and scrap. Operate press inspecting parts at predetermined intervals. If parts do not meet specifications, stop press and notify Lead Person. Perform a variety of other related duties as directed by super-vision to insure efficient machine operation and the production of quality parts. Maintain machine and work area in a clean, neat and orderly condition. Comply with all company rules and regulations.
