Press Brake Operator-1st Shift

BRAKE PRESS OPERATOR.

Position Summary:

Mancor-SC is seeking a reliable and skilled Brake Press Operator to join our fabrication team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating a brake press to bend, shape, and form metal components according to engineering specifications. Attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to quality and safety are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

Set up and operate CNC or manual brake press machines to bend and form metal parts. Must be able to interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and job orders to determine machine settings and material requirements. Use measuring tools (e.g., height gauge, tape measure) to inspect finished parts and ensure they meet specified tolerances. Make necessary adjustments to machine settings during production to maintain part quality. Perform daily maintenance checks on machines and report any malfunctions or needed repairs. Follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment). Maintain clean and organized work area in compliance with 5S and lean manufacturing standards. Record production data, including quantities, materials used, and time taken.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required. Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating a brake press in a manufacturing environment preferred. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions. Strong mechanical aptitude Basic math skills and ability to use precision measurement tools. Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs., stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks.

Working Conditions:

Manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and moving machinery. Use of PPE required, including safety glasses, steel-toed boots, and gloves. May require overtime or weekend work depending on production needs.
