Job Title:
Press Brake Operator Job Description The Press Brake Operator is responsible for ensuring daily production output by operating CNC Press Brake machinery. This role involves using computers, CAD programs, basic hand tools, and measurement instruments to achieve quality production results. Responsibilities Program, setup, and operate a CNC Press Brake, preferably Amada. Communicate effectively with production leads to meet production demands and follow schedules. Inspect production parts for defects and ensure they meet quality standards. Perform routine maintenance on machinery to ensure efficient operation. Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Collaborate with Quality, Environmental, Health, and Safety employees to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards. Essential Skills Experience in sheet metal fabrication. Minimum of 2 years of experience in programming and setup. Ability to read and interpret 2D prints, 3D models, and work instructions. Knowledge of press brake tooling. Proficiency in using basic measurement instruments to verify components. Strong verbal communication skills. Excellent time management skills. Adaptability and ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Must be able to read a tape measure to the 16th of an inch. Additional Skills & Qualifications Blueprint reading is a plus. Experience with Laser, CNC, Fabrication, Welding, Mill, and Lathe is beneficial. Experience working in a sheet metal fabrication environment. Why Work Here? The position is for the 2nd Shift, operating from 4pm-2:30am Monday to Thursday. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of North Charleston, SC. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $23.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
