About the Role As a Metal Forming Specialist, you will play a critical role in our production cycle by transforming raw metal stock into high-precision components. You will leverage your technical expertise in operating advanced press brake machinery to ensure every part meets exact blueprint specifications and quality standards. Responsibilities Configure and operate CNC press brake equipment to bend, form, and straighten metal components with high accuracy. Interpret complex blueprints and technical drawings to plan optimal production sequences and select appropriate tooling. Perform rigorous quality inspections using precision measuring tools such as calipers, height gauges, and specialized fixtures. Calculate precise bend lines and angles, adjusting machine programs to maintain strict tolerances. Proactively troubleshoot production issues to minimize scrap and ensure efficient workflow completion. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace while adhering to established manufacturing safety protocols. Collaborate with team members to prioritize production runs and meet critical delivery deadlines. Mentor junior staff on machine operation, safety procedures, and quality control standards. Required Skills Proven experience operating press brake machinery in a metal fabrication environment. Strong proficiency in reading and interpreting technical blueprints and schematics. Solid mathematical aptitude for calculating dimensions, angles, and bend deductions. Demonstrated knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). Ability to work independently with minimal supervision to meet production targets. Preferred Skills Hands-on experience with Amada or Trumpf press brake systems. Familiarity with ERP software, such as Epicor, for labor tracking and production monitoring. Completion of a technical school program or relevant vocational training.
