Job Summary:
Are you an experienced fabricator looking to take your career to the next level with a premier local employer? PrideStaff is partnering with a leading structural steel and heavy industrial metal manufacturer in the DFW area to find a skilled Press Brake Operator to join their production team. This is an exceptional, stable opportunity to work with high-quality equipment in a modern, safety-conscious fabrication environment. If you take pride in your precision and thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing setting, we want to talk to you!
Key Responsibilities:
Set up and operate industrial press brakes to safely bend, form, and straighten steel and metal components according to strict specifications. Read and interpret industrial blueprints, structural drawings, and work orders to determine machine setup and custom tooling requirements. Select, change, and align appropriate dies and tooling based on material thickness and specific job dimensions. Conduct routine quality inspections using precision measuring tools (such as calipers, micrometers, and tape measures) to ensure part accuracy and minimize scrap. Monitor machine operations and apply a strong understanding of metal properties to detect defects, making necessary real-time adjustments. Coordinate with the material handling and welding teams to maintain a steady, efficient workflow through the production shop. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times while strictly adhering to all OSHA and internal safety protocols.
Qualifications & Special Requirements:
This is a mid-level position, so we are looking for candidates who bring 2 to 5 years of stable experience operating press brakes in a heavy manufacturing or structural steel environment. Strong blueprint reading skills and a solid understanding of metal fabrication techniques and bend allowances. Excellent shop math skills, including the ability to accurately measure and calculate angles and dimensions. High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in manufacturing or metal fabrication is a plus. Experience operating modern CNC press brakes (such as Amada, Cincinnati, or Trumpf equipment) is highly desired. Outstanding attention to detail, reliability, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work effectively with minimal supervision. Why Work with PrideStaff?
