Valtir is hiring a Senior Equipment Operator to support our Fort Worth, TX manufacturing facility. Valtir has been an industry leader and global supplier of highway safety products for over 50 years! Our core roadway product lines include guardrails, end terminals, steel barriers, crash cushions and sign supports. Valtir is dedicated to bringing the next generation of innovative safety products to an ever-changing market. The Sr. Equipment Operator sets up and operates production machines to cut, bend, straighten, or form parts as specified by blueprints, lay-up sequence, and/or templates.
Location:
Ft. Worth, TX Starting rate $20-$23 per hour.
Full-time:
M-F, 5am to 1:30pm What you'll do: Set up and operate most production machines to cut, bend, straighten, or form parts as specified by blueprints, layup sequence and/or templates Perform preventive maintenance and minor troubleshooting Operate at least 3 pieces of equipment (shear, punch press, break press, saw, drill press, roller) Proficiently read blueprints Follow all safety rules and practices May be involved in safety committees or initiatives Perform other duties as assigned What you'll need: High School Diploma or GED equivalent Minimum of 2 year of experience Ability to read blueprints Ability to operate three of the following equipment types: press break, shear, punch press, saw drill press or roller Ability to understand the technical aspects of the job Ability to follow verbal or simple written instructions and procedures Ability to measure accurately Ability to safely and efficiently perform all essential functions Ability to follow directions and maintain a professional work environment Good communication skills and the ability to work within a teamwork environment Regular and predictable attendance Must be able to lift 60 lbs. Must be able to work in a manufacturing facility standing most of the day.
