We are seeking a detail-oriented Trim Shop Operator to join our team. In this role, you will effectively carry out operational duties associated with the manufacturing, packaging, and dispatch of sheet metal trim products to a high-quality standard. Headquartered in Vacaville, California, All Weather Insulated Panels (AWIP), has three state-of-the-art continuous-line manufacturing facilities including Vacaville, California, East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, and Little Rock, Arkansas. AWIP is an innovator in the design, construction, and advancement of insulated metal panels and is strategically positioned to meet the growing energy, environmental and economic challenges facing the North American building industry. AWIP provides its customers with a broad line of insulated wall and roof panels and a full range of complementary trims, accessories, and engineering services.
Essential Functions:
Perform all duties in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for specific product(s) to a high-quality standard Perform machine set-up adjustments within pre-defined parameters and change overs as required Operate cutting and folding machinery/equipment in accordance with relevant SOP to ensure product quality and standards are maintained in a safe environment Monitor machine performance to ensure safe, defect free, uninterrupted production Notify Maintenance and Supervisor of any equipment issues Conduct regular checks to ensure products are of correct specification, quantity and quality Notify QC and Supervisor of any product issues Meet all reasonable output targets as specified by the Shift Supervisor/Production Manager Maintain high levels of Health & Safety standards Carry out basic maintenance duties (TPM) and maintain a good standard of housekeeping Perform handovers to ensure continuity of production schedule Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly work area. Performs other related duties as assigned, potentially within other areas of production. Completes training by supervisor. Complies with all safety and company policies and procedures. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent. Completion of on-the-job training may be substituted for educational requirements. Preferred experience working in a fast-paced factory/manufacturing team environment, with sheet metal experience a plus Good communication skills, fluently in English verbal and written PC literate (Word, Excel) Ability to use basic hand tools and measuring equipment I.e. tape measure Must have basic arithmetic in US and metric systems Proactive approach to safety, meeting demanding production deadlines, housekeeping, waste reduction etc. Must have the ability to abide by applicable OSHA and environmental regulations, and company policies.
