This role is ideal for someone with strong industrial painting experience who enjoys leading people, improving processes, and ensuring quality work gets completed safely and on schedule. As the Finishing Operations Lead, you'll serve as a hands-on leader supporting blasting, painting, glassing, and final finishing activities while helping coordinate workflow, maintain quality standards, and keep production moving efficiently. What You'll Do Lead and support daily finishing operations, including blasting, industrial painting, glassing support, and final finishing activities. Coordinate work assignments and help maintain workflow to support production schedules and customer delivery commitments. Provide technical leadership for surface preparation, coating application, and paint quality standards. Coach and develop team members while reinforcing safety, quality, and accountability expectations. Monitor work in process, identify production bottlenecks, and help resolve issues impacting throughput or quality. Support training and cross-training initiatives to strengthen team capabilities across finishing operations. Serve as a key leadership resource and back-up to the Finishing Supervisor when needed. What We're Looking For 3+ years of leadership experience in manufacturing, industrial coatings, fabrication, or a related industrial environment. Strong industrial painting and coating application experience. Ability to lead teams while remaining engaged in day-to-day operations. Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills. Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement. High school diploma or GED required. Preferred Qualifications Technical training or certifications related to industrial coatings or manufacturing operations. Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements and industrial work practices. Experience with blasting, fiberglass, or related finishing processes. Why Join Newberry?
