This position is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining Kluge platen presses used for foil stamping, embossing, and die-cutting. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, takes pride in producing high-quality work, and is committed to maintaining efficient production while meeting quality standards. Responsibilities Set up and operate Kluge platen presses for foil stamping, embossing, and die-cutting jobs. Mount, align, and secure metal dies on the press. Adjust multi-zone heating elements, pressure settings, and machine alignment to ensure proper registration and quality. Set up and adjust mechanical arms and vacuum feed systems to accommodate a variety of paper stocks, including fragile, textured, and heavyweight materials. Continuously monitor production runs to ensure consistent quality and identify issues such as misregistration, foil flaking, or paper warping. Make machine adjustments as needed to maintain production quality and efficiency. Perform routine cleaning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Kluge equipment to minimize downtime. Verify finished products meet customer specifications and company quality standards. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Follow all company safety policies and procedures. Qualifications 3 years experience operating a Kluge platen press or similar die-cutting, foil stamping, or embossing equipment required. Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to adjust, troubleshoot, clean, and maintain industrial machinery. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. Ability to read job tickets and accurately follow production specifications. Basic math skills, including the ability to calculate and measure using fractions and decimals. Ability to work independently while managing multiple production priorities. Dependable with strong problem-solving skills. Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the workday. Frequently lift and move paper stocks and materials weighing up to 70 pounds. Ability to bend, reach, push, pull, and perform repetitive movements. Manual dexterity to safely operate machinery and make precise machine adjustments.
