July 31, 2026 Slitter Augusta, GA $17 / per hour Full time Apply Now Back Job Description Set up and operate slitting machines to cut and rewind rolls of material according to job specifications and customer requirements. Adjust machine settings such as speed, tension, and blade positioning to ensure precision cuts and to accommodate different materials and sizes. Inspect materials for defects or deviations from specifications before and after slitting to ensure quality control throughout the production process. Load raw material rolls onto the slitter and thread material through the machine, preparing it for the slitting process. Monitor the slitting process continuously, making adjustments as necessary to maintain product quality and machine performance. Remove slit rolls from the machine, label them according to job order specifications, and transport them to the designated area for further processing or shipping. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on slitting machinery to minimize downtime and maintain optimal performance. Record production data, including quantities slit, materials used, and any deviations from standard operating procedures, for quality assurance and inventory management purposes.
