ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

for Commercial Printer Bindery Stitcher Machine Operator

• Adheres to and promotes all safety policies and procedures including but not limited to lock out-tag out and use of personal protective equipment.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow job requirements of Job Ticket.
• Perform make ready tasks for all jobs to comply with job tickets and optimum machine performance.
• Responsible for directing Crew Members to obtain maximum quality, minimum spoilage, and maximum efficiency.
• Responsible for Safety, Quality, Spoilage of assigned jobs.
• Responsible for performing maintenance on assigned equipment to include daily repairs and preventive maintenance. Responsible for reporting any maintenance concerns and parts needed for repair or stock to management.
• Demonstrated ability to perform Crew member duties (e.g. stack, feed pockets, etc.)
• Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION

Requirements for Commercial Printing Bindery Stitcher Machine Operator High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum 5 years experience as a Commercial Printing Bindery Stitcher Operator.
• Capable of performing in a fast paced environment.
• Able to distinguish colors (not "color blind")
• Candidate should possess strong organizational and planning capabilities.

Must be able to function well under pressure while maintaining a positive, enthusiastic attitude with co-workers and customers. Should have good verbal and written communication skills, Very important to be self-disciplined and energetic. Should be able to make good decisions and expedite in a short time frame and understand their ramifications

• Capability of being promoted into a supervisory position

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL FUNCTIONS

• Must be able to move about freely, climb, stoop, reach, and or move/push objects.
• Ability to work on a concrete floor for extended periods of time
• Ability to lift 50 Pounds.
• Ability to operate forklift
• Ability to operate pallet jack, pulling a load of approximately 1400 pounds
• Operate keyboard for computer data input and retrieval.
• Must be able to communicate clearly and have good listening skills.
