Job Description
Do you like working with your hands, staying busy, and seeing a stack of finished work at the end of your shift? If you take pride in doing careful, accurate work — the kind of person who likes a job done right and a clear result you can point to — we'll train you on the craft of print finishing. We run a clean, climate-controlled production facility where printed work gets folded, assembled, glued, packed, and shipped. The work is hands-on and active, but it isn't the heavy, exposed-to-the-elements grind of warehouse, yard, or construction work. You'll be on your feet, indoors and out of the heat, turning printed sheets into finished books, booklets, mailers, and packages. There's real craft to this work, and plenty to learn — it's a great fit for someone early in their career who wants steady, skilled work and room to grow with a stable, established Hawaii company. No print experience required. If you have good hands, a steady pace, and a willingness to learn, we'll teach you the rest. We cross-train our team across processes and equipment, so you won't be stuck doing one thing — and the more you can do, the further you can go here. What You'll Do Fold, collate, assemble, glue, and hand-finish printed materials — books, booklets, brochures, packets, and mailers Operate basic bindery and finishing equipment with training — folders, padding, drilling, and similar finishing machinery Load and prep materials (paper stock, adhesives, supplies) and keep your station stocked and ready Run quality checks throughout the job to keep output clean, consistent, and accurate Follow job tickets and production schedules to hit deadlines Package, box, label, and prep finished work for shipping and delivery Keep your work area clean, organized, and safe Cross-train across processes and equipment, taking on more of the shop over time What We're Looking For Good hands: You're comfortable doing detailed, repetitive work accurately and at a steady pace A learner's mindset: Curious, coachable, and eager to pick up new tasks and techniques Reliability & professionalism: You show up, follow through, and take pride in your work
Precision:
You catch details and care about getting it right the first time Team-first attitude: You communicate clearly and jump in to help Safety first: You follow protocols, wear PPE, and speak up about hazards Physical readiness: Able to stand for your shift and lift and move materials throughout the day Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional early mornings, evenings, or weekends (fork lift operations experience is a plus) Why HONBLUE Learn a skilled trade with paid on-the-job training — no prior experience needed Clean, air-conditioned indoor production environment Cross-training across processes with a clear path to advance and earn more — we promote from within Tools and equipment provided Stable, full-time work with an established local company
