Job Description

Urschel, a 100% employee-owned company, has an opening for a Precision Grinder for our day shift operations working full-time, Monday-Friday and may require working on Saturday based on workloads. Urschel employee-owners design and manufacture industrial cutting equipment for food processing and allied industries around the world from our global headquarters located in Chesterton, Indiana, U.S.A. Consumers purchase goods manufactured on Urschel cutting equipment on a daily basis. Advanced manufacturing technologies are utilized at our climate controlled, clean, and environmentally conscious facility. Starting pay is $31.81/hour

Balances a variety of parts. Set-up and operates honing machines and keyway cutters. Selects, mounts, attaches and calibrates a variety of different grinding wheels for cylindrical and flat grinding. Qualified applicants must have a minimum of one to two years related experience and/or training with a high school education or equivalent. Ability to solve math problems, use precision measuring instruments, basic computer skills and able to communicate effectively. Familiarity with FANUC controls, and experience with Studer and Agathon a plus. Physical Demands include remaining stationery for sustained durations, stooping/bending, pushing/pulling, overreaching, wrist movement, and gripping, grasping and/or squeezing.
