Publishers' Graphics STL LLC is a growing, technology-forward book-manufacturing and commercial-printing operation seeking an experienced Inkjet / Digital Press Operator for our climate-controlled production facility in Earth City, Missouri. This is a hands-on, full-time production role supporting the manufacture of books and commercial print products on newer, high-volume digital print and finishing equipment. Candidates with direct continuous-feed inkjet experience are highly preferred. However, we also encourage experienced operators from digital press, web press, sheetfed offset, bindery, converting, mailing, or other high-volume manufacturing environments to apply. 3777 Rider Trail South, Earth City, MO Job type: Full-time, on-site What you will do Operate high-volume inkjet and digital print equipment safely, efficiently, and in accordance with production requirements. Set up and run jobs using production tickets, specifications, and daily schedules. Monitor print quality, color consistency, registration, paper handling, and production output throughout each run. Troubleshoot routine equipment, feeding, web or paper-path, print-quality, and workflow issues. Perform daily operator maintenance, cleaning, inspections, and basic preventive-maintenance tasks. Communicate production status, equipment concerns, downtime, and material needs to supervision and scheduling. Partner with prepress, scheduling, maintenance, bindery, and shipping teams to keep customer orders moving. Maintain accurate production records, including job completion, waste, downtime, and quality information. Follow company safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area. Support related production work during slower press periods to help the overall operation meet its goals. What we are looking for Experience operating production printing, digital press, inkjet, web press, offset press, bindery, or comparable manufacturing equipment. Mechanical aptitude and the ability to identify, troubleshoot, and clearly communicate equipment problems. Familiarity with paper or substrates, print quality, color consistency, registration, and production quality control. Ability to read and follow job tickets, work instructions, schedules, and quality requirements. Strong attention to detail and a consistent focus on accuracy. Dependable attendance and the ability to work effectively as part of a production team. Comfort working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Preferred experience The following experience is helpful but not required: Continuous-feed inkjet production. Ricoh, Canon, HP, Kodak, Xerox, or other production digital press platforms. Variable-data printing and production workflow. Book manufacturing, publishing, mailing, or direct-mail production. Roll-fed paper, web handling, finishing, or converting equipment. Operator-level maintenance and preventive-maintenance routines. Physical and schedule requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and move production materials throughout the shift. Ability to perform work in an active manufacturing environment. Ability to work the assigned Monday-Friday shift reliably. Optional overtime and occasional weekend hours may be available during peak production periods.
